As this month was the run-up towards Christmas, I decided to choose a book which would appeal to our festive sides, and excite us. This book seemed to look a little deeper than my usual Chick-Lit choice, and seemed a little sad for Jenny Colgan, as usually her work is very uplifting. Although there was elements of joy and happiness, the book still brought me no real fulfillment and left me feeling a little empty. For that reason, I would rate this book a 3.5 out of 5.
Ps. As I was listening to the audiobook, the american accent got very annoying very quickly. This could have also swayed me towards a lower rating.
