As like Emma, I hardly ever will be drawn to a thriller-type book, but decided to take a leap and give this one a chance.
Overall, I found the base storyline quite interesting and it drew me in, but I do have to agree with Emma when saying that some aspects of the book were not very plausible and just didn't seem to fit properly.
Saying that, I'm happy with the book I chose and very much enjoyed it overall :) I would rate 4 out of 5!
Overall I'd rate this book 4 out of 5 stars. I rarely read thrillers but always find them such easy and engaging reads when I do - and this was no exception!
The Family Upstairs was such an easy read for me, I enjoyed the different POVs (although liked Henrys the best) as well as the flow of the writing itself. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was due to the fact that I found some parts of the storyline a little unbelievable .
Saying that I really did love some of the twists in the story such as Lucy killing her ex (boy BYE). Gripping book and a great choice Katie :)
